The Types of Commercial Roofs We Install
EPDM Roofs
Made out of a tremendously tough synthetic rubber, EPDM is a cost-effective and easily installable material for flat roofs. Since it’s made of rubber, it’s lightweight and flexible enough to fit on just about any roof. Whether it’s adhered, mechanically fastened, or ballasted, an EPDM roof isn’t going anywhere for the next 15-20 years.
TPO Roofs
Like the idea of a synthetic rubber roof, but are afraid that standard EPDM won’t be sturdy enough? Then TPO is the perfect roof for you. Standing for Thermoplastic Polyolefin, TPO is made from recycled rubber, making it environmentally friendly. PVC Roofs
Since PVC roofing it is built so strong, typical adhesive installation is not needed. During a recent windstorm, part of our roof cap tore off exposing the open area which could allow the environment to gain entry. We contacted our insurance agent and a claim process was initiated. Expecting to be under warranty from the … More prior installer, they came out and said the entire roof needed to be repaired. We again contacted our insurance agent as this seemed to be pretty extreme.
I was then speaking with a friend, and he said maybe get a second opinion to verify the findings of the previous install company. I did and Kirkness was suggested by a couple of people.
Andrew and Zach came out and looked over the roof. There was moderate damage except for the area of wind damage. They did not think a full replacement was the best path to take and suggested repairing the small damage area thus saving us the cost of our deductible.
They returned the following day, made the repair and you can't tell there was any damage. I missed them before they left and when we called Andrew for costs, he said don't worry about it, materials were minimal, and the 40 minutes was a way of saying thanks for calling us to provide service.
